What is Sage and Season?
A bit about why Sage and Season has been created…
It is my aim to fill a gap I see in the market - many of us love the informal, relaxed homely cooked food often found at dinner parties however they can be a lot of work for the host with planning, shopping, food preparation, cooking and then there is all that washing up!
On the flip side, I am so often disappointed when dining out being presented with over faffed, over-priced and poorly executed food. Not to mention service where there is a fine line between too much and not enough.
Having spent much of my late teens and twenties within hospitality I have worked both in the kitchen and front of house. In locations ranging from country pub's to a Michelin star fine dining establishment I have an extensive knowledge of the catering industry. Whilst not formally trained, the experience I have accumulated together with travelling to various parts of the world has inspired me to embark upon this journey.
The dinners won't be themed by a style or region of cooking but heavily inspired by my personal food experiences – you may well be sharing an Mexican inspired starter followed by an Indian spiced main and finish the evening with a good old fashioned English pudding!
Guest numbers will be limited to 24 people per evening to retain that intimate dinner party feel and ensure that everyone is well looked after and not just another bum on seat. Due to the sharing nature of my food I am unable to accomodate anyone with severe nut allergies or vegan diets. However there are plans in the pipeline for a full vegan evening so be sure to sign up to my mailing list.
